popular tradition of Valentine's Day is to express love for dear one
with an exchange of cards, flowers, chocolates and other gifts of love.
These days people exchange Valentine's Day greetings not just with

Historians say, Valentine's Day festival originated from the
mid-February fertility festival celebrated in pagan times. Legend of
martyrdom of Saint Valentine of Rome is also strongly associated with
Valentine's Day tradition of expressing love to dear ones. Some scholars
say the romance was linked with Valentine's Day because of the popular
belief in England and France during the Middle Ages that birds began to
start looking for their mate from 14th February.
